the first time i made them, they were a lot bigger and had cracks. this time, i made a half batch but accidentally used the same amount of egg (so basically added extra egg). i piped them out and they didn't spread hardly at all as they baked. i think they turned out a little thick for that reason, but knowing that i'd probably just pipe them a little flatter next time!

the recipe is from the book "baked explorations" but is reproduced on this blog (but again, for these small ones, i halved it but kept the same amount of egg, which is just one egg)
